DELIVERANCE IS NEAR! HAPPY NEW YEAR
I don’t think in days to come Mother India will see these
couple of months as tormenting, but just like the first two months of trouble
bearing a healthy child!
The enormous amount of black money and gold recovered from
all over India beyond common man’s imagination, conclusively proves the purpose
of
demonetisation has been achieved. So far 90% of estimated black money has been deposited back in banks. Till 31st March 2017 any legitimate
holders can also return them in RBI.
Government could have easily avoided the month long queues in
front of banks if they had beforehand printed and supplied enough currency
notes to ALL the branches of ALL banks. But NO GOVERNMENT anywhere in the world
could have got that much currency notes of the highest quality printed and
distributed at such a short notice. It would have resulted in a very large
number of people come to knowing about the purpose of printing notes in such a
large quantity and it would have totally defeated the very purpose demonetisation.
This had created the unavoidable problem of sudden non-availability in
sufficient quantities of currency notes of higher denominations in banking channels.
But it was AGGRAVATED MORE by unscrupulous bankers joining hands with hawala
traders and black money holders to enable them first to change extremely large
quantities of old notes for new, depriving ordinary citizens of the same
facility in exchange for huge bribes. Proof of pudding is in the eating! You
have read about the raids on such people, their arrest along with bankers and
recovery of thousands of crores of black money as well as NEW CURRENCY from
them! This in itself proves how much demonetization was the need of the hour.
Still there was no need for the public to have been put to
such great difficulty to stand in line for hours for several days. Again the
fault lies elsewhere, not with the government. Black money holders targeted poor
people and bribed them heavily to exchange their black wealth for some consideration!
Who will not be attracted by easy money! We found organizations set up
overnight recruiting people for up to Rs.100 per hour just to stand in line to
exchange a few of their black notes! Tell me, those poor would not have even
known that it was illegal because they were told it was a money paying JOB! Who
will not be tempted? That is the reason we saw miles long queues; not at all
the fault of government in not planning properly. This avoidable hardship and
inconvenience to aam aadmi was solely created by black money holders but blamed
on government by opposition leaders!
Were ALL opposition parties wrong then? You think for
yourself. Apply your mind. The opposition has been bent upon in blocking the
government in every step it was taking for the development of our nation. GST
was one such step. It was due for passing in Lok Sabha but opposition was bent
upon blocking it hook or crook. It found demonetization God sent opportunity
and made it the SOLE issue to block GST with all the force at their command! It
is another reason that they will probably be the worst affected when dust
settles down! Who doesn’t know how the many opposition leaders became
crorepatis AFTER becoming MPs or how Congress & other parties openly sold
national interest for a consideration! There have been a large number of cases
decided and also in court to prove this. Their existence was at stake and they
had to fight for their lives, especially with UP & Punjab elections at the
door!
Indian media have played a major role in provoking opposition
to demonetization. Why? Their antipathy to BJP is well known. All these days
they had been paying lip service to anti-corruption steps and playing along
with the then ruling Congress party for decades. Every step of our Prime Minister
for development was laughed at and ridiculed by them. It is not for nothing
they earned the epithet of Presstitutes! They did not lag behind this time also
to go hammer and tong against government for demonetization.
I am not denying that small shop keepers and a large part of
rural population were affected too. But as our Prime Minister had pointed out
when we look at the huge benefits which future generation of India stand to
derive from this step, the few days of hardship will come to be seen as worth
undergoing.
But what has been the reaction of enlightened leaders and
politicians and even foreign media? What about the social media in ALL
languages like comments in newspapers, twitter, facebook, whatisup, etc. 90% in
total appreciation of demonetisation.
In the New Year let us swear to forget the small troubles we
have been through and will also be put into in future by vested interests and
march forward for making India the greatest it has ever been! Jai Hind!
