WILL THE US MEDIA PLEASE HELP ITS NATION?

We, the people of the USA, did all we could to find a worthy successor to President Obama. He had to be a Democrat.  The majority of popular votes polled by the Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton amply proved that. The majority could have been a lot more, had there been unity among Democrats before the party chose her as their candidate. They lost their unified popular support under the leadership of President Obama to partisan politics of entrenched politicians, which resulted in fewer Democrats turning up to vote for one in whom they did not have confidence!

Have the Democrats learned their lesson? It does not seem to be so. If RNC Chairwoman is a hardly known entity - Ronna Romney McDaniel, Democrats have another almost equally unknown Tom Peres as Party Chairman! Why? Because the present Democrat Party office holders in the House, Senate and Party could not agree on a common name! Everyone had his/her ax to grind – solely personal considerations for future office and its perks, nothing else. Nothing to do with national interest! One is too old for any position and is not even a full-fledged Party member, and the other is an oft-disgraced has been. There are many worthy candidates, but entrenched office holders do not want to support them for only one reason: their hegemony on the party might be in jeopardy!

In the recent past since 1992, Democrat Party had two Presidents, both of whom ruled for two consecutive terms each, President Clinton and then President Obama, who called the shots, surely in consultation with others, but had made their contribution to the party and more to the nation. In the year election was held, the national media in unison was for the Democrat candidate, in spite of her shortcomings. Why did the national media support the Democrats? Firstly it was not exclusively enjoying the support of money-bags, as did the GOP! Secondly, Democrats stood for the interests of the largest segment of the population and not ONLY for the money-bags.

Now the national media is repenting for its sins of last year by taking it out on Trump in a big way. Good. It is doing a very good job. But what is the goal? Do we want to wait for the next Presidential election? Even if the aim is to take the House next year, shall we get anywhere by keeping on hitting Trump? People only become more resigned to their fate! Should not we be offering them Democrat alternative to GOP for the coming House elections and also boost his leadership? Without giving people an alternative leadership, merely decrying Trump will get us nowhere, but only confirm the general exasperated resigned feeling of people that only God can help this nation!

I request all the media to call upon the Democrats to unite under new leadership, give up all old bandicoots and party hacks. We need leaders who are not millionaires and billionaires to look after their interest first. We want leaders who openly admit they do not consider themselves indispensable for moving forward and are willing to anyone as a leader whom the party may choose. If media could thrust these things into the brains of our present leaders and ask anyone above 55, to announce they will not aspire to hold any public office, that alone will help the Democrat Party and the nation immensely.
