CHINA’S ROLE IN LOOMING INDO PAK WAR – A BLESSING IN DISGUISE?

Why Pak attacked? It had to stop Modi Govt right where it is now. It could not afford to allow Modi to execute his plans for progess and development of India any more as Modi Govt was on path to give stable government for the next decade at the least. Was fast solving economic problems. Compare it with the miserable standard of living, governance, etc. of Pakistan. Utterly shameful. Solution is Uri! To stop India on its track to progress. Aim: If you cannot reach the level of your enemy, bring him down to your level! That simple. Pakistan cannot also wait any longer. Winter is fast approaching to give rest to terrorists from crossing snow clad mountains. It had to act also before Modi govt entrenches itself by winning U.P. and other elections due in the next few months. Above all China is pushing Pakistan from behind to put a stop to India’s getting to a level almost equal to it in world forums and being supported by ALL super powers, including Russia! Pakistan knows very well that at best it can indulge in skirmishes with India, but nothing more, as otherwise India was fully capable to show Pakistan its place. It is, therefore, at China’s behest that Pakistan has entered into this misadventure. It has been well aware for decades after Kargil that it is in no way comparable to India in any manner. It also knows its nuclear arms are only an idle threat. It knows even before an alert for bombing is issued its nuclear arsenal will be destroyed, if not by India itself, but by the USA and/or China because no nation is ready for a worldwide holocaust.

The negotiations will now take place between China & India, with super powers on India’s side, as to why china should call back its attack dog and if it does not what will be the consequences. The dog, of course, will be called back for sure. But what is to be decided will be what further gains could be made by India if developments go in that direction. Some of them could be: Pakistan dismantling now and allowing inspection later of the training facilities of terrorists it has on its soil; handing over to India or at best putting its jihadis in its own jail for considerable duration; giving enforceable assurances that it will not ever think of first strike with nuclear weapons, etc. China also might get assurance that it can keep the developed route to Karachi port via Gilgit route in return.

Why China selected this time for this misadventure? It is being corned by its neighbors who are not very friendly to it, to say the least, led by India. A confrontation through proxy might give it back leadership of the region albeit temporarily. In the whole turmoil it will permanently gain a direct route to Arabian sea and middle east, saving it billions of dollars yearly in exports! For all this it has only to set its attack dogs on India! There cannot be a cheaper bargain!

If India handles the situation well, even if a war looms on the horizon, not much harm is likely to come in India’s way. Rather this may even prove to be a God sent opportunity! A looming war unites nationals against an enemy. By no stretch of imagination Pakistan can expect to receive help of Indian Muslims to take its side. Except a handful in J&K who have sold themselves to Pakistan, no Muslim in India will opt to go to Pakistan even if given land and building, because they are fully aware of its extremely poor economic conditions. Their relationship is limited to their religion. The result of all this will be: India will remain united at least till a settlement is reached. National unity will be a blessing in disguise which will strengthen the hands of Central Government in all States and who knows, BJP might come to rule in almost all States with or without coalition. An imminent war always gives a fillip to economic progress and a united nation will only help it more. Harsh tu-tu mein-mein may temporarily halt and who knows in retrospect all may realize what fools they were to fight tooth and nail over such minor issues!
