ONLY A FOOL WILL COMMIT THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE. WILL YOU?
Arvind Kejriwal thinks he is very clever. He has proof of
it. Did not he replace the entrenched Congress Party and its Chief Minister
from the Capital of the largest democracy in the world by democratic process
within a period of just a few months? Without any money of his own, but from
donations openly received and above all with his own eloquence? Did not he
almost got a majority of his own after the very first election? What more proof
you may ask for?
You know confidence tricksters? They too look and act and
make people believe they are very very intelligent and honest and know what
they are talking about. That is until they are caught. Have you seen magicians
performing feats which are totally unbelievable? You will not know how they do
it, though you know what they were showing was some trick. Once you come to
know what the trick was, you are no more interested in the magician or
trickster.
Now the problem is Arvind has started believing that he is
no trickster nor a magician. He is for real. He thinks all those who believed
him will continue to believe him. He will join with people and claim that
"We all together had thrown away the corrupt government and now it is time
to establish a good Government. So vote for me." He will not explain why
he did not keep his word about reducing electricity bills or providing water.
He will say: " I still want to do it, but had to quit the government
because I was not allowed to pass a bill against corruption." He thinks you would have forgotten by now that
he had the majority for passing the bill but was looking for a reason to quit,
so that he can try his hand in getting a few Parliament Seats and become a
national party. He thinks that people did not notice that he was a
non-contestant as far as Varanasi was concerned
and the four seats in Parliament he got, which surprised even him, were
because of the local popularity of those who got elected and not because of
AAP's popularity.
Having kicked out of national elections, he is back again to
try his hand in the next Delhi elections. But he is not very sure his party
will get enough seats. That is why he wants Lt. Governor not to order dissolution
of the assembly but explore the possibility of forming another Government. He
knows and the Lt. Governor knows that Congress will support him now even openly
just to make sure the capital also doesn't fall in the hands of BJP.
His new tune is going to be: Congress has been effectively
neutralized. Now is the time for stopping the communalists from taking over the
capital.
Do you think he will be successful or Delhi will confirm the
lesson he seem to have not learnt in Varanasi?
