KEEP AYURVEDIC PRODUCTS FAR AWAY FROM FATWAS!
I would rather like sale of Patanjali products multiply based on their quality, superior effectiveness and lower cost of Ayurveda. Not by marketing gimmicks or by half-truth in social messaging sites. And definitely not as a 'Hindu' product. Popularity of any good product only based on superficial perceptions instead of sound facts will not last long. Indian Ayurvedic brands like Vicco, Dabur, etc. which are well marketed have been successful for decades. Even multinationals like Hind Lever and other foreign beauty product brands highlight Ayurvedic ingredients specifically in their advertisement to make them more acceptable. So where is the need of even thinking in terms of our top line brands multiplying because of these Fatwas! I would in fact venture to say we should entirely ignore such Fatwas and pay no attention whatsoever to it. That will only degrade the name and reputation of our Ayurvedic products. Once we give them any importance, you can surely expect more and more Fatwas. If not for anything else, may be just to extract some large donations! I am sure you understand!
