NET NEUTRALITY -
WHY SHOULD IT BE FREE IF YOU CAN PAY FOR IT?
When someone incurs expenses to provide you with service,
why should you want it to be free? In every service oriented endeavor charges
are different to different set of people depending on the quality of service
provided. Airlines, Railway, Cinema Theatres, etc. etc. I cannot think of ONE
thing where the provider after incurring expenses provides the service free. It
is true some advt revenue is earned by the provider. But a very large number of
businesses make use of this free service to make substantial money. Road are a
free service. But cyclists and pedestrians are not charged, whereas motorists
pay a hefty road tax to make use of it. There is hardly much difference in
internet and road as far as similarity of usage is concerned.

FORGET
JAYALALITHA, FOCUS ON JUDGES AND LAWYERS
Let's not focus on Jayalalitha. Focus on the judges and
lawyers. Watch how a case is being prolonged for years and judges literally
'trying' their best! Is it the law impeding their action or any strings or
'higher authorities' whosoever it might be?

CRIME CANNOT BE
CONTROLLED BEFORE IT HAPPENS!
NDTV says: "Be the first to comment." What is new
there to comment on this crime which has become very regular and cannot be
controlled by police? Crimes can hardly ever be controlled before it is
committed and while at the planning stage. If at all it could be controlled it
will by very quick investigation, prosecution and severe punishment. Not once
in a blue moon. But every time. Everywhere. That alone will make criminal think
twice before even planning it. Media is interested only in eye balls and follow
up news will be there, again, only for the purpose of eye balls. If only they
continuously follow up giving details of how the investigation is tardy, how
the courts do not seem to be serious etc. giving names of officers and judges
involved and their explanation, there is some hope. Is the media up to it? I do
not think so.
YOU CAN WALK ON
YOUR HEAD, NOBODY IS BOTHERED!
If you do not want to wear mangal sutra it is between you
and your family. Do whatever you want. Why make a song and dance of it? Very
likely you will not be wearing sindoor (kumkum) also. In fact many Christians
don't wear both. Nobody is bothered that it is an affront on Hinduism. Many
well educated 'modern' Hindu ladies, married or not, do not wear them. The same
thing applies to beef eating also. Eat pig. Eat exotic food like snakes and
scorpions. Just do not make a Tamasha of it as though you are some sort of a
reformer of Hindus. Be just whatever you are. As there is a place in Hinduism
for even atheists, you will not be any problem for the Hindus. But do give the
same right to those Hindus who would like to wear these.

LEFT NO PROBLEM,
IT IS LEFTOVER COMMUNALISTS WHO ARE A PROBLEM!
We do not have to worry much about the Left Parties. They
thrive only among poor. Even those who are oriented towards socialist ideals,
hesitate to call themselves 'Left Parties'; instead they use the word
'socialists'. The poor of the communist days were those who had no hope for
their future. The poor of the modern day India is not hopeless, he looks
forward to raise to middle class, not with the subsidized food from the
government, but by his own efforts. The days when employment was scarce, one
had to depend upon unions for even basic wages but a skilled worker in Modern
India has employers running after him. Left parties died even before the death
of Congress. The next skirmish, I would not even call it a fight, will be
between communal and nationalist parties.

RAHUL's RETURN -
PROOF OF THE PUDDING IS IN THE EATING!
Unless Rahul proves that his leave of absence was worthwhile,
he will be dumped once more faster than a hot potato!
NO ADDRESS NO VOTE
IN ALL COUNTRIES!
Unless you have a permanent address in no country in the
world you are given voting rights. Our migrant labour force is almost 100%
illiterate. How can you keep track of them and include their names in voters'
list in time. Even registered voters lose their votes if they are not in the
booth allotted and therefore it will not be any discrimination. On an average
about half of the population
never exercises its votes and there is no need for shedding
crocodile tears for the poor who will not be able to vote.

INDIANS DO NOT REMIT
MONEY TO GOI!
The article creates an impression as though the billions of
dollars received in India was on government's account. It is not so. Government
got nothing of these billions. It only received in dollars and equivalent rupee
value was given to the person for whom the remittance was made. Secondly, the
heading creates a false impression that the government took care of its
citizens living abroad when they were in distress for purpose of remittance. It
is hitting below the belt. Of course, for TOI it is normal as usual.

WILL ALL THE
COMMUNISTS HANG TOGETHER?
'Birds of the same feather flock together.' So goes a
proverb. So no wonder when they have come to the stage of extinction, all the
communists have come together. Most likely they will be recalling what Benjamin
Franklin said: "We must, indeed,
all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately." The present day India marching forward to its
destiny will surely help them to hang together.
SIR, There is a global financial
crisis since 2008 because of capitalism. Communist manifesto is still valid today. Alternative economic
policies propogated by CPIM can solve many
problems faced by the poorer sections of society. The strength of the communist parties in parliament is down
but that does not mean their policies are wrong.
(My response to the comment)
Unless capitalism could shed its image of being oriented only
towards wealthy, and communism could change its image of poor demanding the rich to share their wealth
with the poor under duress as a matter
of right rather than as a duty to take care of those who had also contributed
to their wealth, we will not be able to distinguish the difference between the
two! What one seriously believes is the truth for him and his mind is unlikely
to accept anything otherwise. This applies to all. Realizing this, let's
continue with our quest to find what is the ultimate truth and
while doing do, not suspect and accuse the other of being
unwise or motivated and if possible, try to understand his point of view.

DO HAVE SOME MERCY
OVER CONVICTS AWAITING JUDGMENT WHILE GIVING ALL YOUR TIME TO HEAR CASES
INVOLVING VIPS
It has taken 20 years, TWENTY YEARS, for the case to move to
Supreme Court and God only knows how long before we get its judgment. Was it
too difficult for the accused just to have profusely apologized and stated
right at the time the poem was found to have offended the sentiments of many?
Was it too difficult for the lower courts to settle the matter amicably right
at the beginning? It is a shame our lawyers think their duty is to get judgment
in their clients' favor however long that might take. It is their duty also to
tell their clients in clear terms that the matter is not worth pursuing and it
will be a waste of time and money. It might be very important for the advocates
and judges to preserve the sanctity of all the rules, regulations and laws for
posterity and sanctity. But national interest and the interest of others whose
very serious cases of life and death are delayed years together should also be
considered.

WILL THOSE WHO COULD
NOT REMAIN UNITED IN GOOD DAYS, UNITE ON BAD DAYS?
All politicians take people for granted and think they
cannot think for themselves. Assuming
that all those who voted for BJP in Parliamentary election will now vote for
the opposition just because they are united now is silly. A lot of Ganga has
flowed by now. People of Bihar cannot forget the drama of Nitish to capture
CM's chair subsequent to Parliamentary elections and the total misrule going on
in the U.P. Just like the communists, desperate people go to any extent. But
people are not desperate. They have now seen what is the difference between BJP
rule and others'. But I am forgetting something. Let's see how many of the
'United' opposition stay united till election is held. You will hear stories
about why they could not continue together and had to break up, as soon as the
deadline for submission of nomination papers nears!

MODERN ALIBABA AND
CHALIS CHOR!
Great Sambandhis have joined together! After all if not the
nation, UP and Bihar are their ancestral properties to loot. Where is the need
of a common minimum programme? Any info about what was the basis of agreement?
What about the differences in policies and projects proposed or opposed in the
past against each other? At one time or the other all these parties had shaken
hands with Mayawati and Congress and a few of the members of these parties were
also in BJP. How do they reconcile these differences? Their one reply is:
"Don't bother about all these things. Election is coming and our priority
is winning the election. Our only aim is to defeat BJP by raising communal
problems or by common rallies on any issue irrespective of any of the parties
in our parivar supported or opposed the issue in the past. We will fully and
unconditionally support even Sonia and Rahul Gandhi on any issue opposing BJP.
Our one and only aim is to win Bihar elections and then U.P. elections and
strengthen our hold on those States. Once that is done we may even come to an
agreement with BJP for them to rule all other States except Bihar and UP. All
other issues will be sorted out once we know which leader has how many MLAs
behind him after the coming election and then we will see what is to be done
about all these issues. We may again split or regroup or even shake hands with
BJP or give it support from outside!

Buffalo King now
the bluff master!
All nautanki of Azam Khan. First scare the people. Then
reassure them. This despicable act
against poor is possible only by the buffalo king. The loudmouths of BJP
are sufficient cause to justify his action.
What a firm action by courts! If they were holding court in
an Ebola affected nation where people were dying by the hour, first they will
call for records of past instances and how many died at that time! These judges
hold doctorates from Pass the Buck University.
