SUPREME COURT 'FAMILY'
Hey! What is this about a 'family'? I thought justice should not only be meted out, it should be done so openly and not in camera. After all Supreme Court is the 'Laundry of the Nation' and he is the washerman- in-Chief. Even if it is a family 'quarrel', I am afraid, dirty linen, if it belonged to any authority, needs to be washed in linen. The simple reason is the head of the 'family' always holds the stick and even uses it often. That is the reason he is always more feared than respected. Will the court direct any family member bringing a dispute before it to settle it among the family itself? Silly.
I wish some Supreme Court insider will come out with a piece of its dirty linen in this matter. I cannot believe that a judge of the Supreme Court who is believed to be very mature, would have turned such a trivial issue into a national debate. Someone is trying to get his axe ground. Non-extension of office? Refusal of a bigger private room? Some slight unintended which has hurt badly? Being ignored? Not being offered a lucrative office after retirement? What is it?
In all nations most of the people think lawyers are those thieves who have a college degree to loot. Judges happen to be their arbitrators.

WHAT RAHUL IS DOING?
"Where-is-Rahul?" story was hitting the headlines just a couple of weeks ago. After all the jokes and comments, the story died and nobody was bothered. Now Congress is trying to revive the story and hopes to create a momentum before his next appearance in about two weeks. Don't be surprised if he drops in all IPL matches.
Once he appears, will the question "Where he was?" be answered truthfully? I do not think so. But the total secrecy about it makes me wonder where could he have been and on what errand. Note these things which were happening around the time he vanished. The whole country was fired up with the land bill and it was a great opportunity for him to enter politics again as a leader of the united opposition on this issue in Parliament and hog all the media attention. But he missed this great opportunity to rehabilitate himself totally. Why would he do this? What could have been more important than this to him? He ignored a God sent opportunity for his survival. Why? Why?
I will tell you just now. Bear with me for a moment. What was the other issue getting almost equal attention? the apparent inability of the BJP to bring back the black money stashed abroad. The Congress was mocking at the PM frequently on all fora about it and repeatedly asking where are the fifteen lakh rupees which the PM had promised to every citizen. (In fact the PM never said this. He only estimated the black money abroad in this manner to illustrate to common people how huge it was. Opposition has been doing a Goebbels on his statement.) Did you notice all of a sudden nobody even mentions anything about that now? Why? There is a connection. If Rahul has been to Switzerland or Singapore or any such places where millions of dollars change hand to hand every day, do you think Congress will tell you that he has gone to Switzerland? No way. At the same time SIT set up by the Supreme Court was getting nearer and nearer to the stash of the Gandhi family. Laws were being enacted to put in JAIL those who stash money abroad! Yes, Gandhi family could imagine now themselves looking out from behind the bars of JAIL!  So the plan was Rahul will vanish for a few weeks and ensure proper untraceable transfers abroad. In view of the huge amounts involved and urgency, the job could not be delegated to anyone else. Understandable. Suppose any other guy deputed for the job simply transfers the whole thing to himself? ha, ha, ha!
At the same time to keep the attention of the government diverted, Sonia has woken from her sleep and is going against the PM full throttle on the land issue. She is leading morchas! Yes, morchas of 500 meters! Making lengthy statements (oh, reading out) in Parliament. Rousing and uniting the entire opposition! Even the government is on back foot (effect of approaching IPL matches!) and had to re-promulgate the land ordinance for the third time! There are backroom dialogues going on for a quid pro co. Leave our hard earned money of six and more decades alone and we shall leave you alone with your land bill. I will go back to Italy with Priyanka, Rahul to South America and Vadhera can go to jail. Congress can take care of itself.
CURRENT UPDATE: It seems the government had all along a tail behind Rahul and have more than enough to fix him and mummy and many associates. They are also fixing reluctant opposition MPs and are very hopeful of getting the bill passed in the third attempt. They are likely to announce jail term for only those holding black money above a certain limit, effectively allowing many opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha off the hook and getting their votes for the land bill.

The Government should also ask its officials and policemen to register a complaint if they were offered any bribe. They should also be permitted to run sting operations for this purpose and incentives should be given to them for successful complaints. The punishments to those offering bribes should be severe. Unless this is done, people will continue to offer bribes and officers will also be tempted. Let's not forget it is the bribe giver also is equally guilty and action should be taken against him/her also.

ASK ADVANI!
Do you notice the difference the way Modi treats the Supreme Court judges and the way Congress treated them while they were in power? It will do good to the Supreme Court judges to mend their ways. Not because Modi says so. But because it is good for the nation. Modi thinks in the vedic ways of resolving differences:  Samam, Danam, Bhedam and Dandam. He is in the first step now. Hopefully better sense will prevail and he will not have to go up to the fourth step. If necessary, Modi is not one to avoid going to that level also. Ask Advani.

THE ULTIMATE BULLSHIT!
If killing an animal is not cruelty, what is cruelty? As long as man kills to eat, he is cruel. Whether you kill a human by a gun, a sword or poison the punishment is the same. So is killing an animal. Don't you realize that killing is the ultimate cruelty, irrespective of how it is done? When thrown from a low flying aircraft, an animal does not survive. It does faster than it would in a slaughter house. Campaign to spread vegetarianism. That would make sense. Being a non-vegetarian and contributing to SPCA is the ultimate bullshit!

TOO MANY COOKS SPOIL THE SOUP!
A very illuminating article. Hope someone in the Prime Minister's Office reads it and brings it to the notice of the Prime Minister. Our Finance Minister might not have been fully informed by his officers. If he takes this up with them, at least the officers will not continue feeding him fairy tales about the economy improving and government's economic intervention helping the poor.

LEMMINGS OF WEST BENGAL
Nobody can deny TMC has a 'consistent policy' about land forms. Even when they droves the Tatas out of West Bengal they did so under the same policy. The problem is not about this consistency. The problem is that instead of changing the policy for years even when they see the devastation it has brought about in West Bengal, they continue to hold on to that vehemently and hold rallies in support of that policy! Poor lemmings!
I oppose your opinion about the Constancy in TMC in opposing the Land Bill . TMC is a party who always oppose Govt every move citing only one reason "Anti people" They opposed Tatas because the then CPM had been promoting it and the acquisition had been forcible there .
If you monitor the trend of politics in WB then you will certainly notice that every party has survived there by anti Govt stance (irrespective of who is Governing at the Center) Dharna, Processions, political fighting, murders, strikes are the part of politics there.

An excellent point of view! I totally agree with you! If people are happy with the excitement of Dharna, Processions, political fighting, murders, strikes, etc. as part of politics, why bother with development? The definition of 'leadership' as far as West Bengal is concerned will NOT be providing goals to people for good governance, but following people's likes and dislikes whatever that might be at any given moment! Thanks again.

POOR ADVANI!
Respect is given on the basis of your actions. It is earned. It is not a bank deposit which keeps on paying you interest. History is replete with famous leaders who were scorned in their later life or were not mourned. Advani's misfortunes were several. He was he was not the top of the heap, but at best only the second fiddle to Atalji. Therefore his lifelong desire remained just  an ambition while he was active. Secondly his active political life also ended with Atalji because by then he was too old, more than 75. Even if he had graciously accepted the situation, probably he would have been made the President. But he continued to nurse his ambition. He had no great ideas to inspire the cadre. Besides he became a bottle neck obstructing younger leaders taking up leadership. His resigning and taking it back became a drama; refusing to stand for election in Gandhinagar and then meekly accepting it, brought down his stature by several inches. Ultimately except for his age, he had nothing to respect him for.  But it is like 'rassi jal gayi, lekin bal nahin nikala'. He keeps on creating embarrassing situations to the party. For how long more?

MORE ON FOREIGN STASH
FM is not clear if he is proceeding against individuals also who had stashed black money and whether the names and addresses of those people / companies will be published with complete details. I can understand the tight rope walking FM has to do. On the one side financial institutions who will be instrumental in getting foreign investment and on the other Indian industrialists and companies without whose help and assistance no project can go forward. I hope he will stick to rules and will not be inclined to conceal any name, whatever might be the compulsion. Then only all other industrialists and institutions will start believing in this government as also its senior officials. He should know once he gives some concession to someone on some other consideration, floodgates will open demanding equal treatment and he will not be able to stem the tide. On the other hand, if he is strict, though there might be some delay, he will find the going very fast later on.

LAUGH OR CRY?
Don't know whether to laugh or cry! Is this guy quite innocent or a fool? Why should we have Chief Ministers like this fellow? I know Haryanavis are only one step below Biharis as far as intelligence is concerned. But I thought there would be at least one person in Haryana who will be fit to be a CM. Sorry, I was mistaken.

------WHY DO YOU NEED ENEMIES?
When you have friends like Gajapathy Raju, why do you need enemies! The PM should  drop at least one Minister forthwith to show that he means business when he asks his colleagues to be careful about what they say and not created unwanted problems for the party and government.

GAU MATA A MODERN PHENOMENON?
I wish those who support a ban on cow  slaughter to go through 'History of Brahmin Diet' in Wikipedia which indicates flesh eating, including human flesh let alone cow's, was prevalent during Vedic period though it was not approved.  Even today Brahmins belonging to some popular sects, such as Kashmiri Pandits, Bengali and Maithili Brahmins,  eat non-vegetarian food. Probably after the advent of Buddhism, Muslim rule and then British India, to distinguish themselves from others, Brahmins stopped eating flesh. Those who want to ban this, will ask for banning divorces tomorrow because it has never been in Hindu culture and go back to purdha which is practiced even today in North Indian villages. The government should propose a Constitutional Amendment to prohibit any amendment to or introduction of any law which is based on the practices of any religion. This might put a stop to this useless and divisive discussion, leading to agitations, demonstration and in general waste of everybody's time and energy.

KEJRIWAL'S TRICKS:
The two things which could make AAP acceptable to people will be the electricity and water bills being reduced. By giving subsidies any government can do these kinds of magic tricks. I capable government either reduces allocations to other heads or finds more revenue, which this government has not done and is asking Central Government for monetary aid. How long this charade will go on? Ashutosh should not be comparing Delhi government with the Central government. He should remember that Delhi Government is not even a full State government.
I know why Kejriwal has not taken charge of any Ministry. When this government falls or kicked out, he will go out and say my erstwhile colleagues betrayed me and did not govern as was expected. Knowing the 'quality' of AAP ministers and their 'Parliamentary Secretaries' very shortly we shall be hearing about high level corruption. By not handling any Ministry, Kejriwal can always give a 'free hand' to these people and later on claim that he was not kept informed about all that was going on.

CHAUBEJI CHHABBEJI BANNE GAYE?
On T.V. we had seen how well Atishi tried almost successfully defending things which were indefensible. As a young and upcoming politician she should have welcomed the sacking and built her future upon it. She is competent enough to do it. But by tamely accepting and hoping to get back into AAP, now she will not be able to give her best to AAP even if she wanted. She will always be known to be 'that one who got sacked and later admitted after apologies.' Very sad indeed.

LOVE PAKISTANIS HATE THEIR ARMY
Every Indian is aware that it is the totally incompetent successive governments in Pakistan which are unable to control its army, that is responsible for all the bad blood between our nations. The religious heads help the army by keeping the hatred between our nations growing with their anti-India sermons. In between the army and the clerics, the government which has to depend upon USA's dole for its solvency is totally incapable of doing anything. So much so it has no say in our Pakistan army instigated and supported border clashes. It is unfortunate that our government is also compelled to reciprocate in kind and put brakes on people to people meetings. If we can keep Pakistani people separate from their government/army and allow them reasonable access to India and Indian markets, I am sure, over time even their government will be forced to follow suit. Allowing their artists to perform and letting their movies be screened in India might help.
