SHUT UP! IF YOU ARE RELIGIOUS, DIE  AND GO TO HEAVEN
The way the whole country, VIPS, Judges, Ministers, MPs, et al, is talking about religion day in and day out, it will look to any outsider as though everybody in India is first a follower of some religion or the other and then an Indian interested in the development of the nation. I warn you! Keep this up some more and opposition parties will create a communal flare up which will go out of control. As the Hindi proverb goes: "Marta kya na karta?" Wake up while still there is some time.

THE GIFT OF CONGRESS THAT HAS RUINED OUR NATION!
Unreasonable labor unions are a gift of Congress to the nation when it promoted communism in the garb of socialism in India. The shining (?) example is West Bengal. After independence it was ruled for about ten years by Congress, but growing unionism drove it away and for the next about 40 years, it was communist party which ruled it. In fact I should say Communist Party ruled India being the staunch supporter of Congress in Parliament, protecting it from the onslaught of other opposition parties. The support was reciprocal and thus the Communist Party was able to penetrate and lead all major unions in India covering banking, ports, railway, airlines, etc. including various unions of even government employees to mention a few.  Under the garb of protecting the right of labor these unions have always made sure that industrial progress was the least in India. Kept the wages very high. Railway porters', port loaders, taxi drivers, etc. charge too much. You will see them in action when railways introduce their reforms. It is because of these and government employees unions, which supported Congress government to loot the nation that Pay Commissions were appointed and every fifth year the salaries of government servants almost increases by 100% which in turn has increased the cost of living very high making other poor people suffer more and rupee getting devalued by leaps and bounds. But the poison of 'collective bargaining' introduced by these socialist commies in Indian politics will take a long time to subside.

HIGH THRONE AND LOW THINKING!
How many religions we have in India? 6 major religions and innumerable minor religions. A Christian judge is upset because holidays celebrated by his and other religions are not given enough importance equal to Hindu religion. There are 19 gazetted holidays and 104 Saturdays and Sundays, totaling 123 or 3 months in this year. Supreme Court also closes for the during the second half of May and the whole of June. So if the CJI wants to hold some important meeting without affecting anybody's religious or personal convenience, it will indeed become very difficult for him. Besides I am sure almost any festival can be celebrated on the day it falls but any time during the course of the day. The meetings will not last the whole day and even if someone absents for whatsoever reason, heavens will not come down. If Justices of the Supreme Court raise frivolous issues like these, what example they are setting for the populace to follow, which holds them in high esteem?

EVEN BIDI INDUSTRY HAS FREEDOM OF SPEECH!
I do not think that any committee should consist of only members having one view point. If it is so where is the need of a committee? Let there be a bidi king in the tobacco committee. He can give his opinion about how much his industry will be affected by any legislation. This is a useful input. To assume that the bidi king will win over all other members and change the committee's decision will only indicate that the committee members are all corrupt and easily influenced, which hopefully is not the case.

GIRIRAJ SINGH & COLOR BLINDNESS
If media so desire they can put a stop to the kind of comments under attack now forthwith. They should announce publicly that they will stop not only publishing such comments, which giving them more publicity, they will stop any comment by the person concerned or his activities. In short they will boycott him/her. For increase in readership/viewership media have been making mountains of molehills. If they stop doing this things will improve much faster. Politicians also stop this tit-for-tat game. They should remember it was / will be their turn before / next. There is a proverb in Tamil which says why catch a scorpion going along, put it in your ears and then shout I have been stung? If you feel that what I say will amount to 'suppression of truth' and hence 'wrong doers against women should be widely exposed at any cost' , do one thing: ridicule these people day in and day out, boycott them totally, laugh at them loudly wherever you see them pointing your fingers at them, ask their leaders to kick them out of their party and keep on making that demand on each and every occasion you meet the leaders.

LAND ACQUISITION MADE EASY
If a Land Acquisition Bill with following suggestions is placed before farmers I am sure it will be acceptable:
1. In a market place there is always a seller. Let the government announce that it is willing to buy any piece of land and any OWNER of land can make an offer giving full details. One of the terms will be that irrespective of the price paid by government to the seller, if the Government purchases any adjacent land within a given period at a higher price, the Government will also pay the difference to the seller at that time for the land purchased by it now. This will avoid farmers not willing to sell now and wait for a better price. Collectors of respective districts should be authorized to buy the land offered after verification of ownership if the price is at market level, take possession and fence it off. These pieces of land will be used later for   when compulsory purchase is effected
2. Once the general acquisition announcement period is over, Government should announce further acquisition of specific land area on compulsory basis at an enhanced price but with following conditions: 1) The whole price will be paid in monthly installments over a period of say ten years. 2) During the period the family members of owner will be fully covered for life insurance. 3) If they so desire they can exchange their land for another piece of about the same area at the price it was bought earlier by government. And other incentives such as employment for one person, educational facilities, etc.
3. If the land is owned by someone who had bought it within the earlier 3/4 years but does not farm himself, the amount payable will be equal to the amount for which it was registered plus a nominal interest. No other benefit will accrue. This will dissuade buying land for speculation.
4. The government should enact a law prohibiting farmers selling their land to anyone without making the same offer to government. Unless the government rejects the offer, the sale will not be permitted. Selling the land to non-farmers or obtaining loan from private parties against land should also be declared illegal. Co-Op and other banks may give loan against land, but if the farmer defaults in payment of interest, the land should be taken over by government at prevailing price. The government, by now, should make it clear that all land belongs to government and the present owners have perpetual right to use them for their own and their descendants' needs; but they cannot pledge or sell the land to anyone else or rent it.
If farmers are unwilling to part with their land, we cannot blame them. If a company where you have been working to earn a living, is in a crisis and asks you to resign so that it could employ more capable hands to save the company, would you do so just to save the company and other employees? Most of our farmers have been farmers  and living in the same village and have known each other for generations. Most of them are not much educated. They know the value of education and have been able to send their children to cities while remaining in the village. It is too late for them to relocate themselves. The fear of unknown is very terrifying both to children as well as old. How many of our leaders had given up their lands? In fact they have been accumulating land in benami transactions! If they have to part with their land willingly, it will be possible only if they are assured of regular income over a long period, say at least 20 years. They are unlikely to go for big lump sum payments because they know the money will be spent away by their children and in setting up new house, etc. and they will be left with nothing. Instead of paying them Rs.5 lakhs per acre, if they are paid Rs.5000/- per month for 20 years they might respond better. To sweeten the deal they could also be offered a life cover for a couple of more lakhs and an assured job for someone in the family. If alternative land in the same village or anywhere else is also offered even at a nominal price, I am sure they will take it.

LEMMINGS OF WEST BENGAL
Nobody can deny TMC has a 'consistent policy' about land forms. Even when they droves the Tatas out of West Bengal they did so under the same policy. The problem is not about this consistency. The problem is that instead of changing the policy for years even when they see the devastation it has brought about in West Bengal, they continue to hold on to that vehemently and hold rallies in support of that policy! Poor lemmings!

MISSED OPPORTUNITY IN COAL AUCTIONS!
In spectrum or coal auctions, if the government had indicated what could be the maximum charges the winner can collect from users or put in a condition that price increases will be subject to approval by an independent body, it would have helped consumers from exploitation at a future date and also made the offered prices more reasonable and realistic.

JISKI LATHI USKI BHAINS
The situation can change only if our policemen do not have to succumb to political pressure and at the same time are absolutely non-corruptible. Till then it will be 'jiski lathi uski bhains' rule at least in villages.

UNFORTUNATE DELHI!
I can see a number of honest people and volunteers quitting the AAP and no longer bothering about what it does or doesn't do. All these good, honest  people, who are not as  interested in politics as clean governance, will be sad that they have been let down again by a power hungry charlatan who has made a mockery of their desire of bringing in an ideal people's government.  Bhushan’s mistake also cannot  be condoned.  From his experience as a famous lawyer, he should have known that once the AAP got through the elections and won them it, Kejriwal, who had always personally shown the traits of a scheming politician to the core, would never turn around and become a good politician now. When a mischievous monkey is fed liquor, how could Bhushan have expected it to turn around and become docile?

Had he remained true to his ultimatum, there are two possible outcomes. The AAP could have lost the elections with only a few good candidates winning. Or the party could have split then and there with the dedicated wing winning with flying colors and changing history for the better, forever.

Unfortunately Bhushan did not want an abortion,  to take place but wanted delivery of even a but the birth of a child, even if with defects, which he expected to correct later on. It never happens in politics.

Bhushan had lived through the emergence of the Congress party as the dominant political force before and after independence under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was as much, if not more, of an idealist like as is Bhushan.  As Bhushan wants a corruption free clean government, Gandhi wanted the freedom struggle to continue solely and exclusively on the foundation of non-violence. The nation followed him as one man in spite extreme provocations from the British. With the enormous and singular following of all united Indians to back him, had he given a call for independence, even if violent, India would have become an independent nation at least a decade or two earlier. But Gandhi was steadfast in his principle and even supported the British during the long world war. Bhushan forgot Gandhi’s principle: Not only your goal should be ideal, the path you take to reach the goal should also be free from all blemish and you should never compromise with both the ideal and path to it.

Let's hope better sense prevails. AAP splits, the government is voted out, and fresh elections are held. May the best win the election.

THE RISE AND FALL OF A LEADER A.K.A. AK!
Having become a politician, Kejriwal should have learnt by now how an idealist is brought down to the level of a politician. An idealist with the power of eloquence is surrounded by his admirers. As their number increases, he really thinks he can do something great. His followers push him up and he accepts an office of power. Having contrasted himself with his adversaries, he abhors adulation and extravaganza. Those who helped him ask initially for little favors, harmless though out of turn. The leader now feels how can he be so petty minded to refuse such a small request. He accedes. Then more and more requests, of course from his ardent followers, pour in and of course they get bigger and bigger in size and of course a little more out of the way and bordering illegal. He has now a new set of vociferous supporters who tell him that he need not fear anything. Being their leader what he says is right and legal. After all is he not the most idealistic leader they ever had? Arvind Kejriwal is in this state now. Surrounded by his coteries, their deafening praise for him echoing day in and day out, forgetting his recent past when he was also a coterie of someone whom he considered his leader, forgetting also that someone among his followers is biding his time to dethrone him, the LEADER! Also Known As Arvind Kejriwal!

TOBACCO INDUSTRY AND FOUR LAKH WORKERS
The bogey of employment of four lakh workers involved in tobacco industry is totally wrong. Most of the four lakh works are  farmers and they can always find something else to sow and grow. Since a major portion of production of cigarettes is automated and/or machine based, the rest of the workers who will be well trained and experienced machine operators can easily find employment in auto or such other mostly mechanized industries. Further, it is not as though as soon as the industry is banned, the next day all will be out of job. There will definitely be some notice period so that addicted people can find some alternative or cure and the industry also can wind down.

BEATING HIS OWN TRUMPET!
I don't know to laugh or cry! Arvind Kejriwal's government has taken the first momentous step towards self sufficiency and savings. I am not going to tell you about any step taken to solve the burning problems of the day because there have not yet been any steps taken in their direction, but about having its own advertising agency! Who can beat the drum better than your own agency telling one and all about your achievements! A great thinker, that is sure is our AK!

UNEMPLOYMENT EXPECTED TO RAISE IN CONGESS CAMP!
Now there is going to be a hue and cry that the BJP leadership is trying to gag those in the party with diarrhea  of mouth and their freedom of speech, which also happens to be their only employment for  livelihood! You will be surprised about one more development: The Congressi who condemned those with diarrhea of mouth for what they said will now be holding banners in support of their freedom to speak and source of employment because they will have nothing to condemn or agitate against now!

MORE COMMENTS ON BHUSHAN!

Seroiusly Mr Bhushan? Are you so naive that you never played a Game of Chess where creating a web of deterrence system is the key to win. Tinkering with congress support is that deterrence system .. you never understand ? It gave AAP multiple maneuvering space --- 1. It kept its own flock together particularly the faction of MLAs who wanted to defect;
2. It kept BJP frustrated in its bid ;3. It gave AAP the enough time to prepare. "In November, you called Nikhil Dey and asked him to speak to Rahul Gandhi to convince him to get the Congress party to support. But Nikhil told you that he can't talk to Rahul Gandhi on this issue." This episode was the master stoke of AAP. However Nikhil Dey declined to talk with Rahul Gandhi , the news reached to Amit Shah. And desperate BJP was forced to dissolve assembly and declare election. That is the CHECKMATE move , Mr Bhushan. Are you so naive really?? As the head of Disciplinary Committee you should have censored your father Mr, Shanti Bhushan, but instead you just distanced yourself from your father's 'honest' views. Sorry Sir, you should not have mentioned your father's seed money of 2 cr Donation. It is in bad taste for a political party where others too have left job which can be measured in monetary terms. Moreover this mention gives the impression that your father is the OWNER of AAP and he wants to fire The CEO, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and hire Mr. Yogendra Yadav in his place. It is very very poor taste.

MY RESPONSE"
@Sajal Nandy: One of the rules for winning a debate is: Pick some weak points from the opponents' argument and elaborately put it down, thereby putting down the whole argument of your opponent. Read the book: "Straight and Crooked Thinking" published in the last century but still available. The only problem with this strategy is people feel a bit confused at the end of it. Truth is very powerful and biased crooked arguments can never win over it.
About AK's intelligence being almost equal to that of Chanakya according to you, I don't think even his wife thinks so high of it! Probably you forget that this is the guy who ran away from responsibility and abdicated his kingdom at the first sign of a serious problem. His abusive language against his seniors confirms his intolerance and mean mind. His abandoning avowed ideals irrevocably only to surmount a transitory problem, indicates the shallowness of his intelligence. Whoever he might become in due course, surely he is not going to be a leader for long.
