MODI's ECONOMICS BASED ON OLD SAYINGS!

Modi reflects how Avvaiyar, a well known Tamil poet and saint, once blessed a king just by saying, "Varappu Uyara".  Varappu in Tamil language are the raised ridges on both sides of a channel which hold the water within. What she said  just meant "May the ridges rise! ". The king was upset at this seemingly irrelevant blessing. Someone then explained: When the ridges rise, water level rises; when water level rises the rice plants rise; when rice plants rise, farmer's wealth rises; when farmers status rise, the king rises and Avvaiyar was only blessing you "May you arise, O King!" implying when citizens welfare rises, so does the king.
