^{The problem with us is we in the USA, love cutting a 'deal' for anything! You can murder someone in cold blood in a small county and if you can engage a famous lawyer to defend by paying millions of dollars in fees, the county will be happy to allow you to plead guilty to  lesser crime, such as manslaughter or even unintended killing or self defense! Because the county cannot afford to reimburse your lawyer's fees just in case it loses the case! Shame on this plea bargaining process. Shame on our boasting that in the eyes of our law, all are equal. Of course, we are equal if everyone can afford to pay a big fat lawyer. It is worse when this plea bargaining has entered even the military service! No wonder everyone wants to carry a gun!}
