^{Shekhar Gupta, Editor of Indian Express, advises media to have plenty of thick skin, which he himself has aplenty.  He is behaving exactly like Arvind Kejriwal. Self righteous and we-make-no-mistakes attitude. While pontifying that the media should take encomiums and abuses in its stride, he comes down like a ton of bricks on Arvind Kejriwal for criticizing media.  Why? In the present market, abusing AAP gets better TRP. He is no worse than a stock market player who shorts and longs without owning any stock. His interest is only making more money.}

^{Not as innocent as he claims. Accepts drama of AAP produced TRPs or just eyeballs, which is the factor that decides the rate on the basis of  which advertisers pay them. Media create controversies where there is none, just for the sake of increasing their TRP. The media fanned AAP in the beginning and is beating it down now, exaggerating AAP's impact on both occasions.}

^{In totality, his editorial is confusing. Is he apologizing for himself or fie all media which supported AAP in the beginning but are embarrassed now that Arvind has included them also in his list of corrupt? Does he admit that they did not do their home work before such mindless support? He has been holding out as the lone ranger against Modi in the media but now he says  "we are now running with our tails between our legs".  To top it all, these alleged  'opinion makers' , according to him are "just nobodies in the game of power. We are just a very small and privileged group of Indians who get paid for having fun, using our freedoms, curiosity and argumentative skills."}

^{So the next time he writes a fiery editorial lampooning some dignitary, ask him in what capacity he is editing a national paper, as a nobody or as someone who gets paid for having fun or just trying out how far the freedom of speech will allow him to go or just to quench his curiosity or argumentative skills (camouflaged as 'fighting and upholding truth')}
