Anti Cow Slaughter Policy shud b left 2 the States 4 legislation & very strict implementation one by one. Forcing any State will not be productive. If a law is enacted by a large margin MLAs opposed 2 it will b obliged 2 follow suit. If it's made an election issue, it'll be linked with other issues & will not hv the full impact of its own & be needlessly divisive. V hv been seeing bhed chal 4 over 60 years now!

PM has suggested that we should have simultaneous elections from Panchayat 2 Parliament, so that governance is in focus. While it will B a good idea, regional parties will feel threatened & may feel Central govt is trying 2 usurp all powers 2 itself. It'll, therefore, b necessary 2 develop from now on confidence in the minds of major political parties that while the CM will b as far as possible from regional party, majority of other Ministers will b frm the national party, where it's in majority R vice versa. If this works in a few friendly States for a term R 2, other States might come along. It should not be done in one go.

 I think any voice /  sound of call for prayers or prayers themselves should be confined within the premises of the place of worship or at the normal hearing of say 100 yds. Anything over & above that shud b considered as public nuisance & treated accordingly, except 4 annual festivals. Once a law is enacted, it should b very strictly imposed to create confidence in the law enforcement apparatus of government.

It's because of the failure of Abdullah govt @ that time & later, which in its own family interest, kept J&K issue alive that alienation had developed. With the new generation coming up the realization shud b settling in. I'm quite confident our PM will b able 2 bring back peace.

Military prosecutors are bargaining with him to plead guilty to a charge of 'mistreatment' to avoid court proceedings! Don't blame Indian judiciary! It is a hundred times better. The problem with us is we in the USA, love cutting a 'deal' for anything! You can murder someone in cold blood in a small county and if you can engage a famous lawyer to defend by paying millions of dollars in fees, the county will be happy to allow you to plead guilty to  lesser crime, such as manslaughter or even unintended killing or self defense!
